Brighton competed as the only female with the best male skateboarders in the state at the California State Games. This is BIG TIME  as this is the grass roots organization that feeds into the US Olympics.

She placed 2nd in Mini Ramp, 5th in Vert and 5th in Bowl and won the coveted "Athlete of the Year" award in skateboarding - over all male participants of all ages. WOW!

And to top it off, at 9 years old Brighton is the youngest to have won the Athlete of the Year Award in the California State Games Skateboarding.
