Nine year old Anna Shea has been tearing up the Nor Cal (and So Cal) scene for a couple years now and at Santa Cruz’s 50th Anniversary party she caught the eye of Welcome Pro and skateboarding icon, Nora Vasconcellos, who kept her eye on Anna in the months to follow and eventually brought her onto Welcome Flow.

Anna loves to skate everything from a great skatepark to an extreme DIY spot, which makes her a versatile skater and fun to watch!

Nora Vasconcellos has paved the way for women In skate to do more than just the contest circuit. Nora has created a path where women, like the male skaters before them, can shoot video parts, have lucrative brand deals and skate for the fun of it. The days of thinking the Olympics are the only big dream for female skaters is being changed - thanks to Nora.

Skateboarder and YETI athlete Nora Vasconcellos joins The Lineup. She talks about her barrier-breaking career, from becoming the first woman signed to the Adidas Skate Team and putting out her film “Nora” to designing her signature shoe and landing the cover of Thrasher Magazine. She discusses her love of surfing and the crossovers between it and skateboarding, her favorite surfers today, and being inspired by Stephanie Gilmore and Carissa Moore as a kid. Nora also touches on gender equality in sports, advice to girl groms, skateboarding’s rawness and playfulness, the toughest trick she learned, and working with YETI.

When it was announced a few weeks ago at Wheels of Fortune that Nicole Hause was now Pro, the cheers were loud and real and seemingly went on forever. The internet was flooded with videos from that night, and no one looked happier than Nicole. Going Pro for REAL Skateboards, Nicole now has a board in stores and one that every skater should buy.

Nicole has been known for her huge airs, awesome style, and her ability to take hard slams and get up and keep going. Going Pro is the next step in her skateboard journey and is so well deserved.

The premiere of the video was shown last night at Wheels of Fortune in Seattle and launched on thrasher this morning - trust us, you don’t want to miss seeing this one!

Minna, along with Marbie Miller, Nora Vasconcellos, Breanna Geering, Nicole Hause, Alex White, Poe Pinson, Samarria Brevard, Suzy Heath, and Fabiana Delfino, skate their asses off in various spots throughout the ROTO tour (and even play a little baseball). Great skating, and an inspiration for every person out there who skates for the love of it!
