Fifteen year old skateboarder Leah Ho, has become the newest LA84 Youth SAMbassador!

The LA84 Foundation seeks direct involvement from youth representing a cross section of the geographic region it serves, reflecting diversity in ethnic and economic backgrounds and representative of their key non-profit partners.

Other criteria is; maintaining good grades in school, being active in a structured sports program, being civically involved and inspired by the Olympic values, and to be willing to provide feedback, guidance and advice on LA84 Foundations work, service areas and impact.

Leah also gets to attend hosted receptions and press events that the LA84 Foundation puts on that involve Olympic athletes and teams. She has internship possibilities during summer months, as well as volunteer work with the foundation, including performing as the LA84 Foundation mascot, Sam the Eagle at events.

Only 25 members are accepted into this amazing program and Leah is now the only female skateboarder in the group. That is a huge accomplishment!

Congrats Leah, and thanks to LA84 Foundation for including a rad female skateboarder!
