16 Female SHOF Inductees together!

In honor of Women’s History Month, Todd Huber of Skateboard Hall of Fame invited all of the female inductees to come out to the museum and spend the day together, have lunch, meet fans and speak on a panel. It was amazing to see sixteen of the inductees at this event. They ranged from 60s to 80s skateboarding - when skateboarding was in its infancy!

There were so many female driven stories of what it was really like for the women from the 60s to the 80s in skateboarding who paved the way for future generations! Truly inspiring.

RIP 🙏🏼 Sad news that one of our ‘70s skate sisters and one of the original freestyle girls of that era, Ellen Oneal passed away.

Ellen was known for her beautiful flowing style and her perpetual smile during hard freestyle routines. She was sponsored by Gordon & Smith back in the day. She was also the featured female skater in the movie SKATEBOARD starring Leif Garrett and Tony Alva. 

More recently a retro photo of Ellen was featured on the side of the Vans bus that toured around - it was awesome to see one of our own be recognized years later like that.

Ellen was inducted into The Skateboarding Hall of Fame in 2014. 🛹

She will be missed by all of us ❤️
