Nice photo gallery in the Moscow Times today about girls in Russia skateboarding, it talks about why they took up skateboarding, and asks them how long they have been skating. 

One of the girls had this to say.

Alisa, 25, a stylist, said she tried skateboarding for the first time about 10 years ago. However, she recently took it up again because she ''needs some outdoor exercise'' and biking is not her thing.
Alisa said more girls are skateboarding today partially because it's a fashion trend, but also because skateboards have become more accessible, both in terms of price and variety. 

Nice to see that girls all over the world are picking up boards and skating!
