We're now huge fans of the Argentina skate crew and video "Girls Invasion" - this new video drop features skaters Eugenia Ginepro, Aldana Bertran, Camila Ruiz, Melisa Ruiz, Noelia Canaparo.

12 year old Brighton Zeuner pulled out all the stops and landed every single trick in this truly awesome run to earn her 1st place and the Women's 2016 World Champion status.




Jordyn Barratt was sitting in 10th place with 1 run left, and we were all biting our nails to see what would happen. Luckily Jordyn thrives on pressure and put down an epic run that moved her all the way up to 2nd place!





Kisa Nakamura technically wasn't even making the trip to Malmo, Sweden for the Championships, but when 1st place qualifier from the Huntington Beach contest, Hanna Zanzi, had to drop out, Kisa came on-board as the alternate, flying in from her home in Japan.  She kicked butt and ended up going from alternate to 3rd place!

We love these girls, competition is not on their agenda, soul skating is, and that's what they do - feels like a total throwback to 70's skateboarding and all that was good. The Lady Lurkers are an awesome group of girls just wanting to get out there and SKATE.

Mega-sports stars Stephen Curry, LeBron James, Alex Morgan, Cam Newton, Ronda Rousey, Odell Beckham Jr., Rob Gronkowski, Leticia Bufoni, Usain Bolt, Simone Biles and this year’s host, Russell Wilson, were the winners at Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Sports 2016, the only show where kids celebrate their favorite athletes and the year’s most unforgettable sports moments. The show was taped on Thursday, July 14, from UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles, and will air this weekend.


Make sure you tune in, as Leticia gets the "Queen of Swag" Award, and Tony Hawk and Jagger Eaton will go  head to head in a skateboard challenge and roll down an epic 65-foot long ramp inside slime-filled Zorb balls in the Human Bowling Challenge.

 We also heard that pro skateboarder Alana Smith makes an appearance as well!


The show airs on Sunday, July 17, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT) as a simulcast on Nickelodeon, TeenNick and Nicktoons.

It's the first time we've seen a new video in over 10 years from Rodney Mullen, so even though this post isn't about girls in skateboarding we felt it needed to be shared. Rodney's skating is inspirational and he's captured in a way he's never been before thanks to Steven Sebring and his 360 degree camera. Oh yeah, and he's throwing down some new/innovative tricks (of course!).

The Clash of the Siblings! 7 year old Girl is NOT a 4 Letter Word team rider Sky, using ALL of her skateboarding superpowers to take down her annoyingly naughty little 4 year old brother Ocean!

We always love the videos featuring Sky and her brother Ocean, and this one is really awesome  - make sure you watch PAST the "end" for some "behind the scenes" footage that is pretty hysterical.

It's tough learning to skate as a beginner. But it may be even harder when your boyfriend is pro skateboarder Paul Rodriguez. We love that Rachel Metz made a bet with Paul to learn to do a kick flip in 11 days. But first she needs to learn to ollie - so really she has to learn 2 major skate moves.

She checks out Youtube for tutorials, calls a skater friend, and practices over and over. She gets banged up, yet keeps going, day after day  - watch and see how it all goes.

If you have ever tried to learn a new trick you can totally sympathize with her!

Rachel has guts and we LOVE that!

Nice to see a huge fashion magazine like Vogue notice as well, and show a video of her skating while wearing the latest in high fashion.

This is the real Fashion x Skateboarding, not those shots we used to see with models posing with skateboards.

We've got CARRICK's new music video "WILD CHILD" featuring skater girls Brighton Zeuner, Jordyn Barratt, Bryce Wettstein and Spencer Breaux. Fun video that was shot earlier this year with Spencer, Bryce, Jordyn and Brighton skating and having fun throughout LA.




Brighton and Jordyn were just in Austin, Texas competing in Women's Park at the X-Games where Brighton was the youngest female athlete to ever  compete in the Summer X-Games, and Jordyn Barratt went from coming into the comp as an alternate, to making podium and taking home the bronze!

Longboarders Amanda Powell​, Carmen Sutra,​ Noelle Mulligan, and Amanda Caloia are prominently featured  in the premier of the Red Hot Chili Peppers music video for their new album "Dark Necessities", which was directed by Olivia Wilde.

We love that they picked girls who really skate (and kick ass) and shot at some iconic Los Angeles locations. These girls are super badass in real life, and they captured that same essence in the video. This has to be the best music video featuring female skaters we have seen!

We are stoked to be featured on the LIQUID SALT MAGAZINE site this week. This mini feature was filmed over the past three weeks and helps tell the story of how Girl is NOT a 4 Letter Word came to be, and what our mission for girls in skateboarding is.

Looks like Penny Skateboards and the uber cool Paris store Colette have teamed up for a video showing how a skateboard can also be used to do an in home fitness workout.

We say whatever gets you moving, however we think going out and actually skateboarding does the job just fine and it's a hell of a lot more fun!

We missed seeing this when it came out but thanks to Youtube we can finally share it! our seven year old team rider Sky & three year old brother Ocean, went to Germany this past year to do the show "Super Kids"and they both killed it on the mini half-pipe, and the judges of the show absolutely loved them!

It had to be overwhelming with that huge crowd, but they both skated like champs!

Hannah Hart, YouTuber, creator of My Drunk Kitchen and New York Times bestselling author, knows how to have a good time over a good meal better than anyone. As the host of the new web series, While the Water Boils™, now live on YouTube and PassionForPasta.com™, Hart is once again doing what she does best with the help of cultural icons like pro skateboarder Lizzie Armanto, and others who embody distinct passions - fashion stylist Rachel Zoe, Bill Nye the Science Guy, etc. etc. .

In each episode, Hart welcomes a different celebrity guest into her kitchen and delves into their passions – all in the time it takes a pot of water to boil. In this time frame, Hannah gets an inside, hands-on look at what her guests have learned in the pursuit of their passions.

"The path taken by each of my While the Water Boils guests is so unique and different from one another" Hart says. "It proves this truth: no matter where you start, if you trust yourself, honor those around you, and pursue what you love, anything can happen."

The While the Water Boils series consists of two three-episode seasons, both of which will be available for viewing on Barilla's US YouTube page and PassionForPasta.com™. The second season, which premieres in October 2016, will feature professional skateboarder Lizzie Armanto.
